BIG NEWS!!!

I know, I know.. I have been so awful about updating our blog!! There have been too many happenings in our lives to count! So sorry..

Welp, for one thing, we are all moved in to our sweet little home in Twin Falls, Idaho! We've have been all moved in for about 2 months now. So far, we love it here! Only a few hours from home, a nice big back yard for Maizie to play in, and a very nice town that we know of so far! We live in a very nice neighborhood with kind neighbors south of town. There are so many stores and restaurants etc. that we haven't ever lived close to, it is so nice to be just a few minutes away from whatever we need.
Of course, I had to make a new wreath for our new home!

Apparently, this is what we got the back yard for....
Justin has been working at the St. Lukes Magic Valley hospital here for a little over a month. So far so good! He really likes it. He works 3, 12 hour shifts a week and works so hard! He works on the inpatient surgical floor to take care of patients who are recovering from surgery. This Sunday he'll switch over to night shifts and work from 7p.m to 7a.m. Kind of a pain in the rear but the extra pay is worth it!

For me, I like to call myself "A professional stay at home wife". Yup, I do wife stuff all day. Like, watch Netflix on my downtime from making tons of crafts, talk to Maizie as she is my only friend in Twin Falls thus far, (I'm conviced she thinks i'm crazy) and occasionally do some cooking and cleaning... when I feel like it. ;)
Just a few projects I have been working on.

crochet owls!
Baby TOMS

Customized and all, for sweet baby cousins.

Have I mentioned that we might possibly live in one of the most gorgeous places on earth?? We live a mere 15 minutes away from Shoshone Falls, AKA "The Niagra Falls of the West".
Shoshone Falls, the water is a LOT lower than normal.
Alright, alright... and now for the news you have all been waiting for!!! Dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnn
We are having a baby!!
Maizie is becoming a big sister! Coming January 15, 2015!
I am 12 weeks along today! Almost a third of the way done! We seriously could NOT be more thrilled. We are SOOO excited for this new adventure in our lives and have waited for what seemed so long for this. So here is the story. A few months ago, Justin and I took a visit to the Twin Falls temple, also another one of our favorite things about this town. The whole time we were there I just kept having this overwhelming feeling that I wasn't supposed to go back to work and that we needed to start a family. A few days later I decided to take a pregnancy test. Justin asked me not to do it until he took his NCLEX nursing exam. AKA The most IMPORTANT test of his life thus far. He didn't want to be stressed out about not passing his exam, being homeless and jobless, and possibly have a baby on the way. So following his wishes, i waited for about 2 minutes after he found out the results of HIS test to take MY test. Of COURSE he passed, he's such a smarty pants. It was around 7 A.M. A few minutes after soaking in the overwhelming relief of passing his test, I yelled for him to come look at something. He looked and said, oh your not pregnant.. and walked out of the room. I said uhhhhh, i think you should learn how to read a pregnancy test bub. He looked again and said Oh! So you are pregnant?!
That faint line is very tricky!
I was freaking out at this time. I didn't know if i should believe the test or not, so i took another one the next morning and the results were yet again positive. I was so relieved that i wasn't just being tricked with the first test. Heavenly father works in the most amazing ways. I am so glad that i had the prompting that i did that day in the temple. We found out just a few days after that special trip and we had NO idea that heavenly fathers wishes were going to come so SOON! But we knew they had happened for a reason.
Needless to say, I have almost the entire nursery set up and decorated, what did you expect? I do stay home all day obsessing about this little alien baby in my belly. :)
I have already sewn all the crib bedding.. with the help of my amazingly talented mother in law!

I made the babies crib rag quilt all by myself and it was so much fun! I have been using my sewing maching almost every day.

The rooms colors include navy blue, gray and mustard yellow.

I even made the sheet, So EASY and SO cheap!

We had our first ultrasound last week. Out little dinosaur baby is a whopping 2.5 inches long and the size of a lime! The ultrasound calculated my due date to be January 11th because the baby measures to be a bit farther along. But they don't change the due date unless the ultrasound is at least a week off from the calculated due date. (Yea i don't really understand any of that) So, i'm just going to assume he will be here sometime in January. haha. I call baby a dinosaur because since he is still in early development his head is largely unproportionate to his tiny arms this far in pregnancy. hahaha its kind of cute. Anyways, here is our ultrasound pictures! The 3D prints were AMAZING to watch! My heart was jumping with joy as i watched him breakdance (as Justin called it) on the screen. And i'm pretty sure i saw Justin shed a tear or two, although he still denies it.
A little celebration after our first ultrasound. We are SO happy!!!!
